Thanks to the support of the group Intrapresæ Guggenheim Collection, the greatest work of art realized by Jackson Pollock, and, according to some, the most significant American work of art of the twentieth century, the immense Mural which the American patron commissioned from Jackson Pollock in 1943 for her apartment in New York will ‘return home to Peggy’.
The first retrospective on Charles, Jackson’s older brother and also a painter, will open in concurrence with the arrival of Mural. This exhibition will display many unknown works and private documents which will recount the family relationship between the two Pollock brothers.
